Moov’in.Paris: a new carsharing solution in Paris

On October 10, Groupe Renault and ADA launched Moov’in.Paris by Renault, a new carsharing service for free floating electric cars in Paris, as well as a dedicated application. The aim? To help users book and use vehicles easily, especially for very short journeys.

Moov’in.Paris meets the mobility needs of Paris residents and visitors alike by providing clean, shared vehicles for journeys around the city. This offer is the result of collaboration between Groupe Renault and the leader in local car rentals in France.

Moov’in.Paris complements the Renault Mobility self-service rental offer present throughout France, launched in 2016, and the Marcel 100% electric chauffeur-driven transport car service, available in the capital since September 14.

This new service follows the joint announcement by the City of Paris and Groupe Renault to pool their expertise in order to develop sustainable, electric and shared mobility for Parisians, Île-de-France residents and visitors.

A fleet of 100 Renault ZOE and 20 Renault Twizy is already accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in Paris and Clichy, in free floating mode, i.e. without terminals or parking stations.

But how do you actually book them? It’s simple! Everything happens from your smartphone, with no need to sign up. Thanks to the Moov’In.Paris application, you can locate and book the nearest available vehicle. You then have 15 minutes to access it, record the state of the vehicle and get started. Once at your destination, all you have to do is park the vehicle in any authorised parking space, in Paris or Clichy, and record the state of the vehicle on return once again.

Billing starts automatically, at a rate of €0.39 per minute, with a minimum of 10 minutes, and without the worry of recharging or paying for parking, which is included in the service.

The number of vehicles on the road will gradually increase to meet the needs of as many users as possible, while meeting the quality of service requirements.
